Which COSRX products are suitable for which skin type and condition?
Today I thought I would talk a little about different products from COSRX. I was going to highlight different products that suit different skin types and skin conditions. In their product range you can find products that suit everyone, but sometimes it can be difficult to know exactly which ones suit your own skin, so I thought I would take up some examples in the post that will hopefully make you find a new favorite at this fantastic brand. You will notice that several of the products from COSRX work for several different skin types and skin conditions.
You usually talk about different skin types and then it is these four you talk about
Normal skin- A person who has a normal skin type has a balanced problem-free skin that feels soft and with a good elasticity. It has an even skin tone and has no visible pores and is neither dry nor oily but possesses good moisture ability. This skin type is the least common.
Some products that suit a normal complexion;
Low PH good morning gel cleanser is a mild but effective cleanser that cleanses without drying out the skin. It has a gel texture that foams on contact with water and has a low pH value that helps maintain healthy skin.
One step moisture up pads which are pre-soaked pads that contain BHA from the willow tree (salix alba) and propolis extract that nourishes the skin. The pads also contain hyaluronic acid which moisturizes and binds the moisture in the skin
Advanced snail 96 mucin power essence It contains 96% snail secretion and moisturizes and plumps the skin while improving the skin's elasticity. The essence is used after toner and before serum when you apply it and this can be used both morning and evening.
Advanced snail 92 all in one cream is a moisturizer containing snail secretion and helps to moisturize and contribute to the skin's elasticity. It contains as much as 92% snail secretion which has repairing properties and protects against moisture loss. This cream is used both morning and evening.
Dry skin - With a dry skin type, you have a lack of both moisture and fat and need to add this to your routine. The skin can also peel and get dry areas and you often experience a tightening feeling. The pores of a dry skin type are barely visible as they are so small, this is because a drier skin type has a deficit of sebum production.
Some products that are suitable for a dry skin type are these below;
AHA 7 whithead power liquid contains glycolic acid which effectively and exfoliates the skin and at the same time moisturizes it thanks to the hyaluronic acid. It is important for dry skin that you actually make sure to exfoliate the dead skin cells so that your remaining products can really have a chance to penetrate into the skin and give it the hydration a dry skin needs. So adding this acid from COSRX a few days a week is good.
If you want to use a BHA acid instead, you can also use these pads here. One step moisture up pads which are ready-soaked pads that contain bha from the willow tree (salix alba) and propolis extract that nourishes the skin. The pads also contain hyaluronic acid which moisturizes and binds the moisture in the skin, which is also suitable for a drier complexion.
Advanced snail 96 mucin power essence is a really nice product to include in your routine. It moisturizes and plumps the skin while improving the skin's elasticity.
Balancium comfort ceramide cream is a nourishing and moisturizing cream that can be used morning and evening. It strengthens the skin barrier and has a richer creamy formula. It is also good for stubborn dry spots. It contains many moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, glycerin and even ceramides.
Ultra nourishing rice overnight spa mask is a good mask to sleep with several times a week to boost the skin a little further. It has a light and creamy texture and moisturizes dry skin. It also contains rice extract which is a well known and natural ingredient in Asia which is used among that for its brightening and emollient effects on the skin.
Oily skin- A greasy skin type, unlike the dry skin type, has an excess of fat in the sebaceous glands. An overproduction of sebum that contributes to the experience of shiny areas and an oily skin surface. This type of skin often experiences acne and blackheads easily. You may also experience that you get large dilated pores. An oily skin type does not need fat but only moisture.
Some products from COSRX's range that you can look at a little extra carefully if you have an oily skin type are these below;

One steo original clear up pads are pre-soaked pads for smoother application. These pads exfoliate effectively but gently with BHA from the pile tree (salix alba bark water) and are developed for oily and acne prone skin. The pads can be used as a face mask by placing the pads on the face for a few minutes and thus soothe and restore the balance of the skin and reduce inflammation.
BHA blackhead power liquid exfoliates the skin with BHA which penetrates into the pores and helps to remove sebum. The peel is in liquid form and contains natural BHA from the willow tree (salix alba bark water) which helps to achieve a clear and acne-free skin.
Two in one poreless power liquid is an effective BHA exfoliation that has a cooling effect on the skin. It controls increased sebum production and has a balancing effect on the skin, it also works well if you feel you have enlarged pores.
Advanced snail 96 mucin power essence suits all skin types and so also the oily skin type and is a good addition to add as it evens out the skin tone, helps with fine moisture and helps to heal the skin and prevent new outbreaks from occurring. As mentioned earlier, an oily skin type needs a lot of moisture and no fat for hydration is a must for all skin types, this contributes to the skin.

Mixed skin is the most common skin type and can manifest itself in slightly different ways, but in general it can be said that it consists of more than one skin type in different zones of the face. A common one is that you may feel more oily in the t-zone at the forehead of the nose and chin. There you can easily experience that you get clogged but that you have normal / drier skin on the cheeks. This then of course requires different treatment and it is great to multitask for example when you apply a face mask to then "double mask" to give the specific area the right care and attention.

Skin condition
We also have something called a skin condition that is partly due to genetic conditions, hormones, stress, lifestyle and climate and other factors that play a role. You can also experience several skin conditions at the same time. Below you will find some common ones.
Sensitive skin Sensitive and reactive skin often becomes red and flaky, you can also easily get eczema and rashes as you have a reduced skin barrier which is thus more susceptible to stress from the surrounding environment and bacteria. For sensitive skin, you need to work soothing and barrier-strengthening.
