C-vitamin+ E-vitamin = GLOW!

How is vitamin c used in Korea for optimal effect?

We get many questions about how to think about vitamin c so now I have taken all the tips and advice about vitamin c that we get from our Korean suppliers and summarized them here! Enjoy! :)

There are many forms of vitamin C, but among them, "ascorbic acid" (also known as "L-ascorbic acid" or LAA) has the most skin-related research and is also called the "royal vitamin C." So when you search for vitamin C for the skin, it is probably "ascorbic acid" you will find the most information about. And that's what we'll specifically be talking about here today, LAA, vitamin C in its purest form!

5 reasons to use vitamin C in your skin care!

When vitamin C is added to your daily routine, there are several benefits, both in the short and long term. So, whether you are a beginner in skin care or are already an experienced user of vitamin C, look at these tips to get the most out of your vitamin C products!

1. Smooth out and improve skin tone

The skin can be discolored for various reasons, such as from acne scars or pigment spots from the sun or hormones. Vitamin C works great to even out skin tone and is good for relieving any discoloration from pigmentation, age spots and even acne spots when applied daily and consistently. But not only that, it is also good for reducing and preventing redness!

2. Ease inflammation

Vitamin C is best known for its antioxidant properties, ie it protects against free radicals (from the sun's rays or exhaust fumes, for example) that can damage cells and tissues. In addition, vitamin C increases the turnover of cells, which helps the skin to recover in, for example, wound healing. The anti-inflammatory properties prevent redness and inflammation and also burns from the sun. It works at the cellular level when applied daily so when the skin is irritated or damaged, a drop of vitamin C can be the salvation!

3. Helps reduce hyperpigmentation

Vitamin C whitens / reduces hyperpigmentation! Age spots, acne spots or even sun spots occur when melanin is overproduced. Applying vitamin C has then been shown to prevent / reduce the production of ac melanin, which then also prevents pigmentation.

4. Increases collagen production

Vitamin C is known to positively affect the development of collagen. Because vitamin C is acidic when applied to the skin, the skin is triggered to "heal" itself by accelerating the production of collagen. Collagen is a naturally occurring protein that is found in our body but which decreases over time and with age. Collagen production in turn affects the skin's elasticity and firmness, which means that a reduced level of collagen results in impaired elasticity in the skin and thus more wrinkles. Adding a vitamin C to your skin care routine helps stimulate collagen production and thus the skin stays young longer!

5. Protect the skin from the sun & heal sun damage

Surprisingly, vitamin C is known to protect the skin from the sun's UVA and UVB rays. Thanks to its strong antioxidant properties, it helps to strengthen your skin. Vitamin C also helps your skin heal faster and relieves irritation and itching when used in the evening.

The best way to add vitamin C to your routine

The easiest and most effective way to add vitamin C to your routine is usually to add a vitamin C serum to your skincare routine.

Sensitive skin tp or beginner on vitamin c?

If you have sensitive skin, a tip is to start with Klairs freshly juiced vitamin drops which contain 5% ascorbic acid. 5% may seem small but for daily use and for anyone who is new to vitamin C, 5% is the perfect dose for regular use and during all 4 seasons (extra important with sunscreen when using ascorbic acid, especially in summer) .

Best way to use it?

The best way to get started is to add it to your evening routine. After cleansing and toner, drip 3 drops (one drop on the forehead and one drop on each cheek) of Klairs Vitamin Drop and use your fourth finger to gently massage or pat into the skin. If applied daily and regularly, you can relatively quickly see an improvement in your skin tone and how pigmentation fades. Vitamin C products are usually recommended (and by our Korean suppliers) to be used in the evening, but if you want to use this even in the morning, do not forget to add SPF before you leave the house, very important !!

Normal / dull / acne prone skin?

Then By wishtrend pure vitamin c 21.5% advanced serum probably fits better.

Best way to use it?

Unlike "Klairs Vitamin Drop", this serum contains as much as 21.5%, ie 4 times as much as Klairs Vitamin Drop! In other words, it is extremely powerful and activates skin cell turnover like no other! Therefore, it is good to boost your current routine from time to time, but not every day initially.
If you have acne spots and dull, tired, dull skin, add this to your skin care routine in particularly exposed areas (can be taken all over the face if you want). And we strongly recommend that you use by wishtrend pure vitamin c 21.5% advanced serum as part of your evening routine, not in the morning.

Boost Vitamin C with the help of Vitamin E!

Vitamin C has long been known to go well with Vitamin E. The reason is that vitamin C and E boost each other's antioxidant function. When applied together on the skin, they give an extra good effect to even out the skin tone, lighten tired skin and strengthen the skin's defenses against environmental impact. Vitamin C works optimally at a superficial level, while vitamin E is oil-soluble, which makes it go deeper. When used together, you therefore get the best of both worlds. Therefore, try adding a moisturizer with vitamin E after applying vitamin C serum.
